SPOOLOGIC Turbo Vane Position Sensor

The SPOOLOGIC Turbo Vane Position Sensor SL-600-035 reports actual vane position on 2004.5-2016 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 3500 trucks equipped with the 6.6L Duramax LLY, LBZ, LMM, or LML. It supplies the feedback used to compare turbocharger response with commanded vane position.

Vane Position Feedback

The sensor reports vane position; the separate VGT control solenoid meters the engine oil used to move the mechanism. Position-feedback faults and control-solenoid faults require separate diagnosis.

Diagnosis Before Replacement

Compare commanded and actual vane position and test the sensor wiring, including any adapter. A sticking vane mechanism, oil-supply problem, or faulty control solenoid can also cause position-tracking or learning faults.

Installation Notes

Allow the turbocharger to cool. Protect the sensor lead and keep debris out of the opening. Follow the application-specific installation procedure.

Coverage excludes damage caused by incorrect wiring, physical damage, or improper installation or misuse, including resulting water intrusion. Claims require dated proof of purchase. Contact SPOOLOGIC for return authorization before shipping the component for inspection. If inspection confirms a covered defect, SPOOLOGIC will replace the covered component.
