MAP Pressure Regulation

The regulator limits the pressure reaching the MAP reference connection. It does not directly control actual turbocharger boost.

Related Fault Codes

• P0236: Boost-pressure sensor circuit range or performance.
• P1249: Wastegate control performance.

Code availability and definitions vary by model year and calibration. Fault codes identify a condition to diagnose and do not confirm component failure. Check wiring, connectors, and related systems before replacement.

Diagnosis Before Replacement

Compare actual boost from an independent gauge with scan data. Inspect the MAP hose, sensor, and wastegate system; a regulator does not repair excessive boost or a control-system fault.

Installation Notes

Follow the supplied installation and pressure-setting instructions. Secure the pressure hoses away from heat and abrasion and verify actual boost with an independent gauge.

These OCR regulators are non-returnable; eligible warranty claims remain covered. Coverage excludes physical damage and damage caused by improper installation or misuse, including resulting water intrusion. Claims require dated proof of purchase. Contact SPOOLOGIC for return authorization before shipping the component for inspection. If inspection confirms a covered defect, SPOOLOGIC will replace the covered component.
