Vane Position Feedback

The sensor reports vane position; the separate VGT control solenoid meters the engine oil used to move the mechanism. Position-feedback faults and control-solenoid faults require separate diagnosis.

Diagnosis Before Replacement

Compare commanded and actual vane position. Test sensor and solenoid circuits and inspect oil supply and vane movement before replacing components.

Installation Notes

Allow the turbocharger to cool. Protect the sensor lead and keep debris out of the opening. Follow the application-specific installation procedure.

Follow the specified sealing procedure when installing the VGT control solenoid.

Coverage excludes damage caused by incorrect wiring, physical damage, or improper installation or misuse, including resulting water intrusion. Claims require dated proof of purchase. Contact SPOOLOGIC for return authorization before shipping the component for inspection. If inspection confirms a covered defect, SPOOLOGIC will replace the covered component.
