Actuator Operation

The electronic actuator moves the high-pressure turbocharger’s VGT mechanism through its external linkage.

Common VGT Control Fault Codes

• P132B: Turbocharger boost-control performance.
• P2563: Turbocharger boost-control position range/performance.

Code availability varies by model year and calibration. A stored code does not prove the component has failed.

Diagnose Before Replacing

Check actuator power, wiring, and connector condition. Inspect the linkage and vane mechanism for binding; an actuator performance code does not isolate an electrical failure.

Actuator Installation

The original actuator’s cooling connection must be bypassed as part of the retrofit. The brushless actuator calibrates automatically when powered and operated through the specified initialization sequence; no external calibration procedure is required. Follow the retrofit instructions and verify correct VGT operation.

The electronic VGT actuator is non-returnable; eligible warranty claims remain covered. The remaining mechanical repair components carry no warranty and are non-returnable. Claims require dated proof of purchase. Contact SPOOLOGIC for return authorization before shipping the component for inspection. If inspection confirms a covered defect, SPOOLOGIC will replace the covered component. Customers pay warranty shipping in both directions; labor and related costs are not covered.
