Related Fault Codes
- P0237: Boost-pressure sensor circuit low input.
- P0238: Boost-pressure sensor circuit high input.
- P0236: MAP pressure too high for too long; boost-control performance fault.
Code availability and definitions vary by model year and calibration. Fault codes identify a condition to diagnose and do not confirm component failure. Check wiring, connectors, and related systems before replacement.
Diagnosis Before Replacement
For P0236, check actual boost and wastegate operation. Inspect the sensor pressure passage, both adapter connections, and the wiring. Compare live MAP and barometric pressure using the vehicle-specific tolerance before replacement.
Installation Notes
Keep debris out of the sensor pressure opening. Match both harness plugs, engage the locks fully, and secure the lead away from heat or abrasion. Follow the vehicle-specific installation procedure and verify live MAP data.
